Bullish
After the NYSE and NASDAQ volume dried up on the downside Monday to by far the lightest levels of 2006, five other bullish indicators have appeared. 1) The speculation index was very low on Tuesday and Wednesday as the NASDAQ volume exceeded the NYSE volume each day by only 2%. 2) On Wednesday the stock market bullishly rebounded from a very large down-tick reading, -992 and a high Arms index value or 1.37 at the session low. 3) The generally wrong way odd-lotters have been shorting the stock market heavily again. Shorting represented 17% of the odd-lot selling volume on Monday and 14% on Tuesday, well over twice the normal level. 4) On Wednesday the Investors Intelligence service reported the smallest percentage of bulls, 49%, in the past three months. 5) During the past two sessions the DAX has made new intraday and closing highs. Yesterday the FTSE ascended to a new closing high, too. Of course, the S&P 500 tends to move with the leading foreign stock market indexes.
