A Distributive approach to Management

Two problems arise under strong leaders. 1) Valuable insights are sometimes lost because team members quell their own voices under a dominant baton. 2) Subordinates learn to focus solely on their own roles, ignoring opportunities to develop new skills.

When people pay attention to one another instead of to one leader, they became more involved. Taking on broader responsibilities, they develop real leadership skills. The result is a sense of ownership that delivers the biggest benefit of all: a collective mind and spirit. I would like my children to think this way and they are, when they reflect on something to me they are right far more often than wrong and I learn from them.

Barkly is a pack animal and would not be able to survive without participating in the pack (family) and contributing to it.. We all have a roll but it is paramount to have ownership in the effort. The companies that have too strong leadership and do not listen to shareholders or the global environment (compassion) will not be tomorrows leaders or survivors..Many of those companies and their leaders are now in the process of being broken up or in bankruptcy.
