From the Middle East to Madison...and soon every where else...the complaint is, "we want more". This is very inflationary period. Governments from China to Saudi Arabia will spend much more money on everything.

The press says oil is up because of recent uprisings....no it is not......over the weekend the largest OPEC producer said they exported materially less in January than December.....this is because they are using more internally and have less to export/ sell abroad. This is the future....the higher costs/ scarcity for everything is upon us.

Second half of 2011 will now soon be discounted by the markets.....then 2012 as Republicans will take control of government in it's entirety.

Key themes remain:
1) Higher (still) energy prices
2) Higher interest rates
3) Higher Gold prices
4) Lower Us Dollar.

Stocks are long over due for the correction underway. They will rally when the Fed starts raising interest rates (the opposite of what everyone will think). The stock market has worked through much of the over head resistance from shareholders from the 2007-2009 time period who have finally sold to buyers around these prices...thus the lower volume recently...resistance in many situations is now gone....a positive.

Uranium has rallied 75% over the past eight months....it is estimated that demand for the nuclear fuel will outstrip supply every year for the next decade. Energy is of course the best performing market sector year to date....no surprises here.

The press says the stock market is up 100% from it's lows since the spring of 2009.....yet more rubbish.....when adjusted for the lower dollar and market to market against gold the stock market is up only 30%...and still cheap...and better yet under owned.

America's biggest stock market mutual funds are up on average between 1% and 3% annualized over the past three years....and of course unchanged in the past ten.

It is easy to see what should not be owned and easier yet to confirm with evidence from what should be owned.

Danny Boy seen here thinking enough is enough! Snow of course.
