Zoltar Speaks

Careful for what you ask for...they all wanted to be big.......now maybe they should be small (er). Peak Government is upon us!
We are amazed at the number of extremes we are seeing/ reading about.
1) Record cash on the sidelines.
2) Domestic equity mutual fund out flow another $20B ytd 100% higher than a year ago.
3) The Fed is buying 60% of the paper issued by the Treasury (that's a failed auction folks)
4) Interest payments on national debt will exceed defense spending by FY 2019.
5) Pension plans want to own more bonds than equity for the first time in 12 years.
6) Farm land prices are at record levels and little land is for sale.
7) Household debt service as a percent of income is the lowest since 1984.
8) Corporate profit margins at 15% are not record levels....they were higher in the 40's and 50's.
9) Saudi Arabia now consumes more crude oil than Germany....and it is reported that they may not export oil any more past this decade reports the WSJ....based on growing internal demand and depleting resources.
10) The average maturity of the nations debt is now down to 62.8 months...we will spend $454,000,000,000 on interest for our nations debt this year.....we have $5,900,000,000,000 due in five years! Any buyers??
11) Food stamp enrollment climbed on average 153,000 per month under Bush and under the current prez its 403,000....that is 14.8% of America.
And 60 Minutes runs a segment last night on how appalled they are on Greece....LOL our math is worse.
It will be a long summer as the elections crawl closer......and nobody has anything positive to say.....only fear is now supporting the bond market.
Americas best and brightest are running nice profits and balance sheets....Americas worst are bankrupting the public sector and all its history.
Which would you want to invest in? What are the masses doing.....which is more often than not correct?
Danny Boy seen here has his head up right now.....it is very rare to have so many extremes to think about.
