Mammalian Diving Reflex

Immersing your face in water produces a protective action in humans similar to that in dolphins, seals, otters and whales...its called the mammalian diving reflex, it quickly lowers the heart rate and then constricts blood vessels in the limbs so that the blood is reserved for the heart and the brain. Static apnea is holding your breath for as long as possible under water a duration now at 16 plus minutes as the world record...for a human
This is what the stock market feels like with everyone watching the world's events unfold relative to the rise in food and energy prices...they think they will all come back down, or worst yet, if not, we will cascade into a recession...so the "pros" are in cash and under weighted the markets best performers. Current rumors of Iran not able to sell more oil is a big problem for China....as if they need any more problems..
The biggest challenges to the global equity markets are multifaceted: 1) Access to capital is slowing the world's shipping yards (customers can't put up enough money). 2) Cold weather is hampering farmers from planting corn. 3) Lack of electricity current and future production is slowing future commitments to new construction. 4) Wage inflation is eating into new business from the lack of ability to find new workers. 5) Scarcity of fresh water is a major concern to the developing world. 6) Lack of leadership in many governments is hindering bold new initiatives in trade and commerce. 7) Rising inflation has many on the sidelines not sure what to do next... 8) Lack of the ability to drill for oil and nat gas here in the USA has everyone thinking Saudi Arabia is the enemy (they are not).
It is more than likely all these issues combined will slow global economic growth for a couple of years until investors come up for air and start breathing again....This creates great buying opportunities for those thinking long term as most of the world's capital markets are now healthy having all come through major corrections in the past few years...
Danny Boy seen here doesn't like to put his head in the water...much less swim.
