Lemons

Posted by Picasa
Lemons are losers..the lemons on slot machines are always rigged so when the bettors fall on them they don't get winnings...a lemon on the machine equals no pay out.

Thus is the origin of the "its a lemon" expression.

But this can be true everywhere in anything. Buyer beware in business is the hardest lesson learned...Met Life decides to sell an 80 acre parcel in NYC for a record $5 billion dollar asking price. Will the buyer make a market top?

Location location location, timing (being a contrarian), doing your homework, don't use too much leverage and avoid the lemons.

And then have staying power to run a full business cycle if you have to or your wrong.

The bears are complaining about all the challenges before the country ignoring all the positives and investment opportunities. The US stock market is the front line for so many to avoid because of their political, fundamental or even religious beliefs....and so the US dollar as well.

The US stock market has under performed all assets classes in the world for 6 years...it's turn will be soon.... probably this fall and into 2007 as the fed eases and inflationary fears subside.

Barkly seen here is already participating in that exciting investment opportunity.
