Water Scarcity Affects One in Three

Posted by Picasa
Scientists had forecast that one in three would face water shortages by 2025, but water experts have been shocked to find that this threshold has already been crossed.

A third of the world's population is suffering from a shortage of water, raising the prospect of a "water crisis" in countries such as China, India and the US.

Agriculture of course uses 70% or more of all available water.

What people are missing is the fact that when there is a shortage of water or rainfall...than the in ground or airborne pollutants become dramatically more concentrated. This too is happening now and is a real problem for China and India. We believe this could be a larger issue at hand than the hydrocarbon challenge with peak oil production at hand.

Barkly seen here is wishing he could have his picture taken with President Bush tonight for $5,000, but Barkly is hosting a party tonight just one mile away from Bush's site visit...so at least the family will be secure!
