Its Black and White
Once again the crowd has it wrong. The solution is not corn based ethanol. Today 99% of the plants under construction are corned based feedstock. Corn is a food source to the world. Same with Soy beans. They are relatively cheap now but as the world grows and its demand for food...the cost will go higher.
If all American corn and soy production were dedicated to bio-fuels, that fuel would replace only 12% of gas demand and only 6% of diesel demand. And we are not going to do that...the same mistake was made in the 1990's with all the new natural gas powered electricity plants constructed...it was cheap then and now they are uncompetitive today.
The answer is Cellulosic ethanol. Virtually anything carbon based like hay, grass and trees......will be its feedstock and be renewable.
Stay tuned this will be tomorrow's news!
