In today's world how can rational minds in Russia sell to Chavez in Venezuela 100,000 units of the Kalashnikov AK-103, the assault rifle of choice for terrorists and guerrillas worldwide. Russia has also agreed to give Venezuela a licence to build a Kalashnikov factory. Maybe the people in Russia are not of rational minds!

The markets put in the best one day performance in 3 years. Quarter end window dressing, short covering (remember it is at a record) and a deeply oversold market and a cheap one at that contributed...catching most by surprise ahead of the long weekend.
