Till Debt Do Us Part

A national broker dealer had these survey results on resolutions from the "main streeters" in the north-central region of the country.
Goals
Paying off debt 36%
Increase savings 30%
Contribute to IRA 10%
Pay down mortgage 10%
Putting savings to children 8%
Off course this is not what is happening in wdc, llc.. There they borrow even more money they don't have to buy votes amongst themselves. We think that is representative of the greatest ponzi scheme ever....that book will start to be written shortly.....very shortly...
The deputy governor of the People's Bank of China said this past weekend, "It was inevitable that the dollar would continue to fall in value because Washington continued to issue more treasuries to finance its deficit spending." And "The USA cannot force governments to increase their holdings of Treasuries, it is definitely impossible, the world does not have so much money to buy more treasuries."
This is like your local banker (your best friend) coming over to your house and saying they will no longer lend to you.....and what do we do??? wdc, llc still thinks its New Years Eve every night!
The business plan of this administration has just been given it's termination notice. Americans are smarter than the 60 morons in the Senate. And they will vote so this coming November.
Major broker dealers are planning for $2.6 trillion newly issued treasury paper (bonds) for 2010..that is up from $1.8 trillion in 2009.....a 44% increase.....oh yes, by the way, they too do not have that cash to give to the treasury.
The health care bill will be read by nobody, not be allowed for public scrutiny or comment and even if it was obtainable it would not be understood by any reader....pushed though by people ignoring the fact that the majority of Americans don't want it.....pretty amazing stuff!
WSJ headlines, "The U.S. stock market is on the verge of posting its worst performance for any calendar decade in nearly 200 years of American stock-market history." I don't think that deserves a self issued B+...do you??? It is almost comical.
STATES SCRAMBLE TO CLOSE NEW BUDGET GAPS...2010 will be very difficult for local and state governments.....but they needed a jolt to change their spending habits.....the next twelve months will be just that.
Remember we know what we don't want to own.....any investments in bad management and or terrible balance sheets....i.e. the US dollar or bonds....these were the worst performing investments in 2009 and they will be again in 2010.
Stocks can serve as a hedge against hyperinflation. Gold continues a perfect correction....as the folks late to the metal square books and take profits for year end tax reconciliation.
We continue to read only bearish forecasts for 2010....equities....this of course brings us comfort..... we also liked the comment, "be ready to be wrong." 2010 could be as or more volatile than the past twelve months.....hard to imagine but this coming year will test the resolve of many.
Barkly seen here taking the high ground.
