Another +28%

As the chairman of wdc, llc left town in his private $300 million dollar jet... for vacation.....last Friday, his administration decided to add an additional $2 trillion to their ten year budget forecast up 28% to $9 trillion dollars......that is all a loss folks. The old trick of the trade is to put out announcements like that at the end of the week...so most "people" miss the news. And of course the media pretty much passed on this news...as they highlighted his golf game with friends over the weekend.

As the WSJ pointed out today, just like the last democratic president tried to change society in his first year...and then he moved to the center as the right side of the isle took back control and properly led the country.....(remember prior to him there had not been a left wing president for two terms since FDR) this president is again a one term er.

The spin misters/ pundits continue to poo poo all positive information....the stock market always climbs the wall of worry....

The WSJ reported, "Companies that employed fewer than five workers-where 5.1% of the private-sector work force is employed-accounted for 14% of the job losses in the fourth quarter of 2008. They also were responsible for 16.8% of the job gains." The point being...small business owners are key to America...new tax policy across the board is anti-business......where do they think new employment will come from....socialism and government? NOT WITH THESE PENDING DEFICITS....SOON ALL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES WILL BE LAID OFF...JUST LIKE WE ARE STARTING TO SEE WORK CUT BACKS..OPEN LESS HOURS. All positives!

Here in town, used vehicle values have risen 10 to 15% versus a year ago.....these cars have risen for seven straight months due to decreased supply....our sell less for more theme.

"It's just a wave. The investors are swarming from one building to another to another and all of it has to do with price." Said a reporter from CBS in Miami. "The market once had 25,000 units for sale...now just 4,500 (are) up for grabs."

In June, China coal imports had a five fold increase versus a year ago and up 20% in the first half of the year. Coal provides 70% of the country's energy needs.

In IBD, a letter to the editor from a Russian Immigrant: "When I came to America in 1980 and experienced life in this country, I thought it was fortunate that those living in the USSR did not know how unfortunate they were. Now in 2009, I realize how unfortunate it is that many Americans do not understand how fortunate they are. They vote to give government more and more power without understanding the consequences."

Remember the look on the Russians faces when we beat them in hockey in 1980!

The market still feels tired....especially wanting to get into September....don't read too much into this tape especially after it's recent big move... another 5% in the last 30 days. Noteworthy: Banks look like they want to move higher and so do treasuries as a short term flight to perceived safety and a trade....a bear trap for sure for the bond investors.

Danny Boy seen here focused on his favorite sport...chasing the tennis ball.
