Lesson Learned

A smart investor when asked what was his life's biggest lesson learned (on the 1987 stock market crash), he said, "It doesn't pay to worry about something that you can't do anything about. What I didn't realize at the time, what I hadn't thought through, was that all of my competitors were in the same boat! Since then, I've come to realize that 99 percent of the things you worry about don't happen anyway."
There sure is a lot of worrying right now. Wilbur Ross, a self made billionaire (this decade) and one of the greatest contrarian investors is now investing into the home mortgage space...buying assets in bankruptcy just as everyone is trying as fast as they can to exit the business. Home builders are bouncing off their 52 week lows, the news probably could not be worse....Real Estate REITS look like they have made their lows and are acting better....the I Share ITB looks like a spec to us..we'll see.
Oil and Gold are resting after a big move as is the stock market...holding it's gains..impressive going into quarter end this week.
Stock markets around the world are flying higher...new wealth being created is astonishing..as well as the flood of petrol dollars. The USA stock market remains amongst the worst performing in the world.
Since 2002 farm land in Minnesota has appreciated 60% in value, with corn, soybeans, milk, wheat, eggs, cattle and other commodities at or near record highs the farmer is doing very well indeed.
Everyone keeps focusing on the negative....remember their are no bear houses on Fifth Avenue!
Danny Boy seen here is licking his chops.
