College grads earn 40% more than high-school grads. Those with post graduate degrees earn twice as much. Americans are under educated today. Only a third of Americans graduate from college.

Chinese students are more hungry for education and advancement and work harder. In contrast, US children average 900 hours a year in class and 1,023 hours in front of a television.

The Chinese believe that those who get the best grades are the hardest workers. In America they say the best students are innately the smartest.. The upshot is that Chinese kids never have an excuse for mediocrity.

Remember there are 1,300,000,000 Chinese and 300,000,000 Americans. The American entitlement attitude is going to bite us...just like the pending energy crunch. The US will graduate 60,000 engineers this year....India will graduate 350,000 and China 600,000.

Trillions of dollars are now in the hands of the new Government Investment Corporations (GIC's) and this is going to change the investment landscape for a generation... as bonds become "boring" and people all over the world are now chasing "equity" returns. Everyday we come in and hear about another bubble and the rising short interest....cash sits on the sidelines. The US Government is almost at a surplus and talk this weekend had the deficits coming down even further and the idea of the feds buying back higher yielding outstanding debt. The only place this amount of money can go is the USA super blue chips...like GE.
