Be Early

We asked a friend what she learned from being on a major corporate board seat for several years
and she reminded me of an obvious observation I have noted for many years...The person in a successful leadership position is ALWAYS EARLY. They are early to rise in the morning, they maybe the first to work, they are the first people to get to an organized game, a meeting, a party......they are always ahead of schedule....it is their habit....and they work at it everyday....and they can't stand it when others are late....

There is almost nothing more unprofessional than being late...it is always a deal buster and you can see it everyday in people who are like this...look for it you'll see!

We have had fun asking people why the stock market rolled over so hard last May and June of this year. The correction that bottomed in July scared most people out of the market and they have too largely missed the monster rally since then.....for a great year 2006.

The reason no one can seem to remember is that the BOJ (Bank of Japan) began to call in their excess liquidity and snapped the Yen carry trade in part by raising the cost of capital to the hedge funds. The BOJ is warning more of the same now in January. Today is quadruple witching of all option contracts and a very hard market to read. China is making new highs on stocks being bought by new funds created by Goldman Sachs and AMP Capital in Australia.

Barkly seen here was always the first to rise each day.
