Cantarell

Posted by Picasa
Cantarell is the world's second-largest producing oil field....and the largest in Mexico. The field accounts for 1/2 of Mexico's total production. Mexico exports 80% of their production to the USA. The Taxes on the oil industry in Mexico account for 40% of that country's governments revenue.

This is a very important asset to the USA and Mexico.

Bloomberg reported yesterday output at this field fell faster than expected in June to a four year low. The government is missing key production estimates. This is a classic example of depletion...when a field has peaked in production the depletion rate accelerates...

Mexico, Iraq, Venezuela all have reported a steep decline....in production in the past 30 days.

This should be headline news and it is being lost in all the noise on the middle east...

Oil $100 plus soon...will lead to an additional increase in natural gas, coal and ethanol and a big time scramble to change the American Entitlement attitude towards cheap gasoline....

Barkly seen here is taking in the beautiful scenery of the Northern woods of Minnesota and staying in shape with many hikes around his territory.
