It is incredible to us the following facts:

Detroit is now America's most dangerous city. It's murder rate of 47 per 100,000 residents is well above Chicago and New York. Detroit is 81% Black and 1/3 live below the poverty line. Today, 80% of Detroit's black children are born to single-parent households. Just one in nine black children is raised with a father. 50% of the black men are high-school drop outs, of those 72% are jobless. By their mid 30's, 60% have done prison time. Among black dropouts in their late 20's, more are in prison (34%) than are working (30%).

Where is the nations Black leadership here? Reportedly Mr. Bill Crosby had a meeting last summer at a church and suggested, "We've got to get these parents to get fired up".

To Detroit's west is Dearborn, MI., a city with a population that's 30% minority Arab. Here many of whom are first generation immigrants who can't speak English- are raised in a vibrant culture where family is paramount and education is prized. Last year Dearborn's population suffered just two murders.

Three million people live in Iowa. Our guess is they are ready to have all the politicians move on now to another state.

Maybe they could talk about Detroit, Michigan more!
